"My heart is inditing a good matter....my tongue is the pen of a ready writer." (Psalm 45:1)
I was born in a rural part of Northern Ireland - in the county of Down. It was my privilege to grow up on a farm, surrounded by fertile soil and green fields.
A few miles away on a hill-top was a monument called Scrabo Tower, built as a memorial to the 3rd Marquis of Londonderry, who owned most of the townland in the area.
In the shadow of this strong tower was founded a Methodist church, where my family attended to worship God. A little Sunday School nestled among the huge trees of the countryside, a few yards from our home. I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth as my Friend and Saviour, as a result of the words spoken at these services.
Now more than 50 years later, I can affirm through my own experiences that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
I form these "pictures of words" believing them to be a pure vison of truth. If accepted by faith and reflected in the "eyes" of the heart, it will be like apples of gold in pictures of silver!
My aim is to give the viewer a desire to absorb these pictures, so their "strength for to-day" will be greater because of some word accepted, remembered and cherished forever - in the heart.
I know that the image will not vanish; there is a Divine Agency which retains it and makes these "impressions of truth" indelible. That agency is God's Holy Spirit.
